Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her character Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC television drama Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in A Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School prior to her family's move to Ohio towards the end of 1970. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University and spent a period with the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a few years, prior to making a move to film and television. Anna's debut role was Arden, in Down the Shore. She made an appearance in 29 episodes. She continued to appear as an actor in handful of TV shows and movies, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's when she appeared on a regular basis in The Practice as Jean Ward in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She also starred as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also in her oeuvre. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn played a part in the podcast's four-part audio drama Numbered days, which is set to be released in 2022. The story of Breaking Bad is usually about the relationship of Walter White, his wife Skyler and their relationship that is strained. The relationship's strain and final conclusion of the relationship resemble the final years in Walter White's personal life.
